Painting a waterfall in watercolor

This week i wanted to do something different than flowers and plants. July is World Watercolor Month and the challenge of painting a little piece every day inspired me for this week’s video. Something fresh : a waterfall !

The challenge of World Watercolor Month is to paint with watercolor (or gouache) every day and you can find inspiration with a list of prompt. This event is organised by artiste Doodlewashed and there is a charity link to it. If you want to know more about click on the link below !

I never participate to the challenge until this year. Even painting a small piece require time and i didn’t have lots of time to spare because work or vacation. But this year, i still have my work to do of course but no vacation for now so i can build an habit of painting everyday ! And i haven’t miss a day for now !

A few days ago the prompt was flow and i immediately think about waterfall. It’s summer and it is quite hot so it’s a real pleasur to paint something as refreshing as a waterfall ! So for the challenge i did the small piece you can see above and i just wanted to make a bigger one with a bit more details for this week’s video !
